HD3840

HD3840UA is high density polyethylene copolymer containing butene-1(C4) as comonomer.

Description

HD3840UA is a high density polyethylene copolymer containing butene-1 (C4) as comonomer. This specialized rotational molding grade is engineered for durability, ease of processing, and excellent surface finish. It falls within the density range of MDPE, but following the nomenclature of the INEOS PE plant licensor, it is designated as HDPE.

Key Features of HD3840UA

  • Good impact strength
  • Easy demoulding
  • UV stabilized
  • High whiteness
  • Excellent surface finish

These properties make HD3840UA a reliable polyethylene copolymer for demanding rotomolding applications.

Applications

HD3840UA is suitable for:

  • General-purpose rotomolded items
  • Septic tanks
  • Recycling banks
  • Large containers and utility bins

Its UV resistance and mechanical strength make it ideal for outdoor and structural uses.

Grade Suffix & Additives

UA indicates the presence of general antioxidant and light stabilizer additives. Example: Rotomoulded Bucket – 23 Liters, 3mm Thickness, 1.2kg

Safety & Handling

  • Molten polymer may degrade if exposed to air, releasing fumes that can irritate mucous membranes.
  • Fabrication areas must be ventilated to remove vapors.
  • Resin burns under excess heat and oxygen, producing dense black smoke.
  • Recycled resins may have been in contact with hazardous materials—verify safety before reuse.
  • Refer to the Safety Data Sheet for detailed handling, disposal, and protection guidelines.

Storage Guidelines

  • Store away from direct sunlight and heat sources
  • Keep in dry, dust-free environments below 50°C
  • Use within 6 months of delivery to avoid aging-related quality loss
  • Poor storage may lead to discoloration, odor, or reduced performance

Regulatory Note

This product is manufactured to high standards, but specific applications such as food contact or medical use require additional compliance checks. Customers may request regulatory documentation as needed.
